- Question: Does the PelviTone by NeuroTrac come with the probe, or does this only include the controller? What is VAT and shipping charge to an address in the US? Finally, what is the cost and shipping charge to bundle in a bottle of HydroGel?
- Our Answer:
Hello, the PelviTone comes complete with the probe and everything you need to start using the toner. If you add the products you are interested in to your cart, it will automatically total your order for the US and work out shipping costs for you. Many thanks

- Our Answer:
Hello, you should use the PelviTone once a day, and use setting number 9 as a good general pelvic floor workout. Normally, women see an improvement in their pelvic floor strength after a month or two of use. Many thanks
- Question: i have recently been dignosed with a grade2 bladder prolapse and am struggling with exercises. firstly is the neurotrac pelvitone suitable for my condition? secondly which programme would you recommend for an existing prolapse
Thank you
- Our Answer:
Hello, with any prolapse we would first of all recommend that you check with your doctor for their advice. However, we have many women who have used the PelviTone to help with prolapse, and when used on programme 9, which helps tone up the whole of the pelvic floor muscle groups, have seen a huige improvemtn. But please do seek medical advice before using it. Many thanks
- Question: Will using this help to make sex better? As i had my daughter 4years ago and over the years i dont feel like im any pleasure to anyone. thanks.
- Our Answer:
Hello, the PelviTone by Neurotrac will help with improving sex - it helps improve the "vaginal embrace" meaning that both you and your partner will enjoy more intimate contact during sex and thus more pleasurable sex. Many thanks
- Question: can i still use the pelvictone if i have a coil
- Our Answer:
Hello, as you have an IUD you should talk to your healthcare professional before using any pelvic toner. It should be fine and we know of many customers who use toners with these devices fitted but you should always check with a doctor or nurse first. Thank you.
- Question: Hi
How much would it cost in postage to ship 8 x PelviTone by NeuroTrac to Australia
- Our Answer:
Hello, unfortunately we are not able to ship to Australia due to the strict Australian Customs and Border Protection Service policies, which mean that too many products would be refused entry. Mnay thanks
- Question: I had purchased a pelvitone yrs ago and have lost the quic start guide. I want to start using it again. Please advise on use frequency and individual use duration. Also how do you know where to start with the intensity. Thank you.
- Our Answer:
Hello, the PelviTone instructions are available to download on our helpdesk, and I have emailed them to you separately. It is recommended that you ise the PelviTone once a day, and gradually increase the intensity as you go - as every woman is different we can't say start at this intensity - basically start low and increase whilst it feels comfortable. Many thanks
- Question: Which of the programmes is best for improving vaginal embrace?
Thank you
- Our Answer:
Hello, We would recommend programme P08 - for lack of sensitivity, combined with P10 for building up general tone of the pelvic floor muscles. Many thanks
- Question: when i use my pelvitone it feels like it is only working on one side. why is this and how do i fix it?
- Our Answer:
Hello, there are a couple of possible reasons for this. The probe should be positioned so that the two metal plates are to the sides of the probe, not top to bottom - in line with your hips. Many women find using a lubricant such as the Athena Hydro Gel helps with conductivity between the metal plates and the vagina walls - poor contact can mean that the pulses are not felt so strongly. Finally, it may be due to a lack of sensitivity within the vagina itself - if you have had children then it is quite common for scarring to occur within the vagina, reducing the sensitivity of the nerve endings. If you ensure you position the probe correctly, andif necessary use a lubricant, then the PelviTone wil help improve the tone of the muscles in the pelvic floor. Many thanks
- Question: Hi. I bought the pelvitone last year and have been pleased with the results. I have had the Mirena coil inserted 3 months ago for menorrhagia and am worried about whether or not I can use the pelvic exerciser as the coil has metal in it. I wouldn't want to electrocute myself! Thank you.
- Our Answer:
Hello, if you have a Mirena coil fitted you should check with your nurse or GP that the PelviTone will not interfere with it. Many thanks
- Question: Is the Pelvitone suitable to attempt to improve the effects of a bowel prolapse into the vagina? I had a hysterectomy over 20 years ago.
- Our Answer:
Hello, with any prolapse we do advise that you check with your doctor prior to using a pelvic toner. Many women do find that toning the pelvic floor muscles through the use of a pelvic toner can be of benefit, but to be on the safe side we do advise that you check with your doctor or specialist first. Many thanks
- Question: Can I use any of the Pelvic Toners while pregnant?
- Our Answer:
We would not recommend using any pelvic toner whilst pregnant - making the muscles of the pelvic floor tighter prior to having a baby would be counter-productive and make child birth more uncomfortable. We'd recommend waiting until you have recovered from childbirth before using a pelvic toner. Many thanks
- Question: I have just started using the PelviTone. It is fine on programme 3, although I had to set it at 28-30 mA. I guess I'm a bit saggy. I tried out programme 8 as well, which was okay for 5 mins. It was set at 20 mA, and I could feel the funny little tickily pulsating sensation (4 secs on, 4 secs off); but then it suddenly got very strong, like I had static electricity down there, so I removed the probe straightaway. Both of the electrodes seemed very warm, even hot, to the touch. Should you only use the unit for 20-25 mins at any one time? Can it overload? I used it maybe for 25-30 mins in all.
- Our Answer:
Hello, we recommend that you increase the strength of the pulses gradually, and the best way to understand how strong the pulses are is to try it in the crook of your arm - you will soon see that you only need a low settig for the muscles to start being exercised! It is fine to use the PelviTone for longer than 20-25 minutes - the pelvic floor workout programme, for example lasts for about 45 minutes.
The PelviTone should not be uncomfortable to use - if you feel that the pulses are too strong for you then simply reduce their strength. You'll find over time that you are able to increase the pulses, in much the same way that if you were to exercise your leg muscles you would start off with smaller weights, and then gradually increase them. Many thanks
- Question: Hi, I suffer from CES (damaged cauda equina nerves) and have litle or no feeling in the whole 'groinage' area - which includes the vagina. This means that i have no feeling during sex and no muscle usage. my question is - will this device help with this considering I have no felling 'down there' ?
Thank you for your help.
- Our Answer:
Hi Alison, I'm afraid with this level of medical detail we would have to advise you to speak to your doctor or specialist for their advice. The PelviTone works by automatically stimulating the muscles in the area, so your imput would not be needed, but in your specific case I would recommend speaking to your doctor. Mnay thanks
- Question: Hi
How does the unit work. Is a cone inserted? Thanks
- Our Answer:
Hello,
The PelviTone comes complete with a tampon shaped trainer which is inserted into the vagina, and which then provides electrical stimulation to the pelvic floor muscles, helping tone them up and helping with incontinence issues. Many thanks
- Question: The question and answer re VAT was obscured on my page. Please tell me what is required to be VAT exempt
- Our Answer:
Hello, you would qualify for VAT exemption if you are buying the PelviTone for the treatment of urinary incontinence (either stress or urge incontinence). It is a self-certification form, and you do not need your doctor's signature on it. Many thanks
- Question: hi i have just been told by doc that my vaginal walls have prolapsed in and its dragging my cervix down. i have been so worried by this as im only 35 yrs with 2 young children. im awaiting hop opp but want to get things moving as i dont want it to get any worse, wot the best thing for me to use. can i use the pelvitone. im very active person who runs and regualy works out, feel like it has all ended. please help.
- Our Answer:
Hello, I am sorry to hear about the prolapse, but there is hope with the pelvic muscle stimulators (or PMS) available. We always recommend that the first thing you should do is check with your doctor or specilaist for their advice on using a PMS device, as there may be a specific reason why they would not want you to do so. In most cases, a PMS will be able to help you build up muscle strength in the pelvic floor, and should be able to help with the prolapse. We have many women who have bought the PelviTone for the treatment of a prolapse, with excellent results - however, the first thing is just to check that your doctor or specialist is happy for you to use one. Please try not to be too despondent, as treatments are available! Many thanks
- Question: Is the Pelvitone an electronic pelvic floor exercisr ie is there a probe that emits a currentthat causes the muscles of the pelvic floor to tense?
- Our Answer:
Hi, yes, the PelviTone is an electrical pelvic muscle stimulator, which uses small pulses to help tone and train the pelvic floor. Many thanks
- Question: Hello, I am not sure if I need to place and order with VAT or without. I really like the PelviTone, but I am a bit confused which (VAT or excluded to order). I am living in Italy. I would like to know if I order 2 at the same, is shipping included twice. Would you mind giving me the total as well?
Thank you
- Our Answer:
Hello, the PelviTone is available as a VAT free item if you suffer from stress or urge incontinence - we simply send a form with the order that you complete stating that you suffer from one of these condtions (no doctor's note necessary).
To order 2 to Italy would cost you £135.15 at present - postage is combined on these. Many thanks
- Question: Can I use this device for treatment of my rectocele?
- Our Answer:
Hello, the use of a pelvic toner to perform Kegel exercises can help with the treatment of a rectocele, depending on the severity of the condition. We would always recommend that you first seek the advise of your doctor or gynaecologist prior to using a pelvic toner to treat a serious condition such as a rectocele. Many thanks
- Question: hi can u use the pelvitone during my period and how do u know its inserted right ???
- Our Answer:
Hello, yes the pelvitone can be used whilst menstruating as it does not affect the menstrual cycle at all. We would strongly recommend using a hygienic pelvic toner intimate product cleaner. The pelvic trainer should be inserted with the metal plates to the sides of the vagina rather than top to bottom - in line with the hips - and due to the shape of the trainer cannot be inserted too far. Many thanks
- Question: I have just bought the toner after a pelvic floor repair (anterior and posterior) is it safe to use 4 weeks post op and what is the best setting to tone muscles... Stress incontinence is not a big problem. Also when I did use it it caused the nerve on my leg to pulse! I had the setting fairly high as I couldn't feel it otherwise. Thank you.
- Our Answer:
Hello, following any operation we would advise that you check with your doctor or surgeon on when to begin using the PelviTone. I would say that although you may not feel the pulses, they will be exercising the muscles in the pelvic floor, so be careful not to set the unit too high. Many thanks
- Question: which product would be best to help a slightly prolapsed uterus ?
- Our Answer:
Hello, the PelviTone - or any other pelvic toner - should only be used for treating a prolapse if you have checked that this is advised by your doctor. The pelvic toner will help build muscle tone, but any prolapses should first be checked by a doctor and their advice sought. Many thanks
- Question: I recently had a TVT operation for a slight prolapse of the bladder and to cure my stress incontinence , caused by giving birth ,the operation worked for my bladder problems so i am no longer incontinent, but my vaginal muscles are still weak and so intercourse is not very satisfying for myself or my husband things are a little saggy so we're getting no pleasure, i was wondering if the pelivitone would help tighten things up down there, and if it's ok to use after having a TVT operation.
- Our Answer:
Hello, the Pelvitone definitely helps improve what is called the "vaginal grip" which means that both you and your husband will experience greater pleasure during lovemaking (and resolve the saggy feeling). I would advise that you just check with your doctor or specialist after the TVT operation, as for obvious reasons we cannot give you specific medical advice, and we would recommend that you print out the webpage and take it along to show them. Pelvic Toners are recommended by many doctors and gynaecologists to help tone the muscles, but better to check first after an operation. Many thanks
- Question: i suffered from hydrocephalus and through this my brain constantly sent messages to my bladder tellng me i needed a wee even though i didn't weakening my bladder. which programs do you suggest
- Our Answer:
Hello, whilst we cannot give medical advice on hydrocephalus or its treatment, I am not sure how a pelvic toner would be able to assist in the urinary incontinence caused by this disruption to the brain's messaging system. This really would have to be a question for your doctor or specialist. If the matter was one of strengthening the pelvic floor muscles then the PelviTone would certainly be able to assist with this, but you would need to seek advice on whether this would be of any help if the brain was still transmitting a need to urinate message to the bladder itself. Many thanks
- Question: My husband has recently had his prostate removed due to cancer and this has left him with bladder incontinence do you stock a product that could assist him with his pelvic floor ecersises
- Our Answer:
Hello, we sell an anal trainer for use with the PelviTone, called the Anuform. This may help strengthen the muscles in the pelvic floor and thus help with bladder and fecal incontinence.
As a short term measure whilst the pelvic floor muscles are being strengthened, we also sell the Dribblestop, which many men who have experienced incontinence following prostate removal or treatment have found to be a blessing, negating the need for incontinence pads. Many thanks
- Question: Pelvitone, is your execiser able to repair the pelvic muscle sufficient, after an early stage bladder prolapse ? Is that possible.
- Our Answer:
Hello, we have been advised that Pelvic Toners can be used in cases where a prolapse has occurred, so long as the vagina can actually have the trainer inserted. It is best to always check with your medical adviser or GP prior ti use. Many thanks
- Question: i would like to know if you can deliver to ireland and how much would it cost for delivery
- Our Answer:
Hello, yes we deliver to Ireland - currently delivery costs £7.99 with Air Mail, and £10.99 with Royal Mail Air Sure. Many thanks
- Question: I set the machine at around 40 to but if I have it any lower I can't feel it. Also should the machine be used when sitting or lying? I find that the probe comes out if I sit to use it. Thanks
- Our Answer:
Hello, the Pelvitone should be used whilst lying down, or if sitting then raise your hips slightly. Although you may not be able to feel the unit working below 40, this may be due to some scarring within the vagina (especially if you have had children), however the Pelvitone will be working the muscles, so you don't need to use a high level to get the benefits of the toner. Many thanks
- Question: How often should I
use the Pelvitone machine?
- Our Answer:
Hello, depending on the programme you use, you should use the PelviTone once or twice a day. Programme 9 is a pelvic floor workout programme of 45 minutes so this should only be done once day, whereas lighter programmes may be repeated once in the morning and once in the evening. Many thanks
- Question: Can i use the toner whilst pregnant?
- Our Answer:
We normally suggest you wait until 6 weeks at least after giving birth. However, you really need to ask your midwife or Dr. Thanks
- Question: Just received my pelvitone week ago what is the best MA av kept it at 40 so far is thet ok
- Our Answer:
Hi, The Pelvitone is automatic, so should automatically raise and lower the MA. As to an ideal setting - this is very much down to individual use. 40 sounds a touch high - if you try the trainer in the crook of your arm and start off low you will feel the pulses in your arm, and be able to get an idea of what it is doing inside the vagina. Sometimes, feeling in the vagina can be reduced if there is scarring casued by childbirth, so it's important to find the right setting and not set the MA too high initially. Even if you can't initially feel the pulses, the unit will be working the pelvic floor muscles. Many thanks
- Question: Can this device be used to treat a weakened pelvic floor which has resulted in a cystocele?
- Our Answer:
Hello, The PelviTone by NeuroTrac can help in the prevention of weakened pelvic floor miscles, which can in turn prevent prolapses such as cystocele. However, it is not specifically designed for the treatment of exisiting prolapses, and we really do recommend that you speak to your GP or gynaecologist before starting to use a Pelvic Toner for the treatment of your cystocele. Many thanks
- Question: i just bought the nero trac pelvi toner and im unsure how far to insert ??
- Our Answer:
Hello, The probe should be inserted high enough so you can feel the pelvic floor muscles contract - everyone is different so we can't just say insert x amount of inches we're afraid. It is best to be sat slightly forwards to make best contact, and the metal plates of the probe should sit east-to-west, so to speak, in line with your hips.
- Question: Hi can i use the NeuroTrac while im pregnant
- Our Answer:
Hi, No it is NOT recommended to use the Pelvitone by Neurotrac, or any pelvic toner, whilst pregnant. Many thanks
- Question: How do I know if I am VAT exempt for the Athena Fem?
- Our Answer:
This is fairly simple - if you suffer from stress or urge incontinence, then you are VAT exempt and you can select the VAT Exempt Version from our site. If you wish to purchase a pelvic toner for just tightening the vagina alone (and NOT to help control some form of incontinence) then you should NOT select the VAT exempt version. You do NOT need to fill in a Doctor's note or get your Doctor to sign anything. It is a self-certifying form you fill in and return back to us. Please note: If you don't fill in the form and return it back to us we reserve the right to invoice and charge you for the VAT.
- Question: Do I need to use a lubricant with a Pelvic Toner?
- Our Answer:
You don't have to use a lubricant. It is completely dependent upon the individual. Some women find it helpful, others don't. Obviously it depends upon the individuals own lubrication. Automatic toners which pass an electrical current do need lubrication in order to function correctly.
- Question: Can I use a Pelvic Toner whilst trying to get pregnant?
- Our Answer:
The manufacturers recommend that they are not used at all whilst trying to get pregnant or whilst you are pregnant.
- Question: How do I position the probe for the PelviTone?
- Our Answer:
The metal parts of the probe should sit east-to-west, so to speak, in line with your hips. The probe should be inserted high enough so you can feel the pelvic floor muscles contract - everyone is different so we can't just say insert x amount of inches we're afraid. It is best to be sat slightly forwards to make best contact.
- Question: I can't get my PelviTone to go above 11 mA - it keeps cutting out. Is it faulty?
- Our Answer:
It appears that the probe is not making a sound contact with your pelvic muscle. As this is the case you should try sitting forward so that the muscle contracts against the 2 metal plates. This should make a more sound contact. The 2 metal plates should be sitting east-to-west so to speak, in line with your hips. You can also try holding the probe in your palm and increasing the mA to ensure it goes above the 11mA setting and that it goes up and down.
- Question: There are two channels and two wires - which one do I use?
- Our Answer:
There are two channels, this enables one channel to be used Vaginally and the other channel rectally at the same time. This practice is not common and would be rarely used in the UK. You only need to use 1 channel. Either will do - simply put the wire into A or B.
